Stiff Pap:

Ingredients:

  • 300g (± 200ml) ACE Super Maize Meal
  • 900ml Water
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Bring water to the boil.
  2. Add salt and ACE Super Maize Meal.
  3. Mix with fork to avoid lumps.
  4. Once blended, mix with strong spoon.
  5. Turn heat to medium and cook with lid on until desired texture (20 – 25 minutes), stirring occasionally.

Phutu Pap:

Ingredients:

  • 300g (± 200ml) ACE Super Maize Meal
  • 375ml Water
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Bring water to boil.
  2. Add ACE Braaipap and salt all at once. Do not stir.
  3. Cover and reduce heat to medium. Allow to cook for a minute.
  4. Using a fork or wooden spoon, stir thoroughly until crumbly.
  5. Cover and simmer for 20 – 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Variation:
For extra flavour, melt 10 ml butter in the boiling water, before adding the ACE Braaipap.

Serving Suggestion:
Serve together with a tomato and onion gravy at a braai, or serve with milk and sugar for breakfast.
