Breakfast Bowl
Ingredients
- 6 heaped tablespoons of Ace Cream of Maize
- 200ml cold water or milk
- 200ml boiling water
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of butter or margarine
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- Fresh fruits or berries to serve
- Cinnamon powder to sprinkle (optional)
Method
- Place Ace Cream of Maize into a mixing bowl
- Stir 200ml of cold water or milk into the Ace Cream of Maize to make a paste
- Boil 200ml of water in a pot
- Slowly pour the paste into the boiling water in the pot whilst stirring continuously to avoid lumps
- Continue stirring until the mixture starts to thicken
- Once the mixture has thickened, turn the heat of the stove down and simmer for 5 minutes
- Serve with fresh fruits or berries and honey
Variations
For preferred consistency you can vary water level and cooking time.
