Breakfast Bowl


  • 6 heaped tablespoons of Ace Cream of Maize
  • 200ml cold water or milk
  • 200ml boiling water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Fresh fruits or berries to serve
  • Cinnamon powder to sprinkle (optional)


  1. Place Ace Cream of Maize into a mixing bowl
  2. Stir 200ml of cold water or milk into the Ace Cream of Maize to make a paste
  3. Boil 200ml of water in a pot
  4. Slowly pour the paste into the boiling water in the pot whilst stirring continuously to avoid lumps
  5. Continue stirring until the mixture starts to thicken
  6. Once the mixture has thickened, turn the heat of the stove down and simmer for 5 minutes
  7. Serve with fresh fruits or berries and honey


For preferred consistency you can vary water level and cooking time.
